Gossip Girl

Spotted at screening of "Haywire" at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York on Jan. 18, 2012. (only 2 days ago!)
Did Blake Lively read my last blog entry about transitioning from winter to spring? I love her outfit! I love her wedge lace ups, paired with knit tights, cozy skirt and sparkly top!  However, she is missing some accessories!  I think she can benefit from my jewelmint invitation :)  http://jmnt.me/qISFhQ

Also another recent obsession of mine: Sole Society, a monthly shoe subscription website.  For shoes similar to Blake's wedges: Invite

PIDA

Recently, my skin has been very dry.  Even though I moisturize everyday, my skin just doesn't feel hydrated.  I even purchased the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil to test out on my hair and skin, which worked better than my usual moisturizer.  It works great on hair and I've been getting compliments on it!

However, it is PIDA that really made the biggest difference for my complexion. I used PIDA on Friday night and on Saturday when I applied my make-up, it went on so smoothly and easily! I looked so airbrushed! (I used Make-up Forever HD foundation in shade 140 and Sigma round top kabuki foundation brush)  My makeup didn't look flaky around my nose area and the foundation blended into my forehead area very well!
Even if you don't offer skin care at your salon, use this product for yourself!  I'm sure after just one try, you'll want to consider selling it retail to your clients!

Jason Wu for Target WOOT!

Jason Wu for Target will be released February 5th!  Versace for H&M was a big miss in my opinion.  Unlike Versace's line,  Jason Wu's collection is versatile and chic for everyday wear.  I love  feminine details and the 60's inspired dresses.  They'll work great in an office environment too!  It might be even bigger than Missoni's collaboration with Target.

I hope I can snag a few pieces online!  Prices are $19.99- $59.99.

Winter/ Recent Favorites

Hi everyone!

Today I would like to share some of my favorite beauty products that I've been using!  Hopefully you'll take some of my reccommendations and try these products out yourself.

This L'Occitane Ultra-Matte Face Fluid is for moisturizing, oil control and mattifying the face.  On days that I do not have time for foundation, I put this on for an airbrushed, velvety complexion.  I have oily/combination skin so this product works well and it never breaks me out.  I bought this product as Christmas gifts to friends who do not wear foundation and might want a velvet-y matte finish.  I think this product is gentle enough to not break people out.

The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed is my favorite blush and I've only been using it for 2 days! It was from my colleague, Iaisha, armadastyle-i.blogspot.com for Christmas!  Thanks!!  I love the natural flush it gives me.  I love wearing this over the L'occitane ultra-mattifying face fluid without any foundation.  It's a matte nude-y, pink color and I think it'll look amazing  on most light/medium skin tones. It's also very long lasting!

This Revlon eyeshadow quad, Lavender Meadow was on sale at CVS and I picked it up for under $2!  These shades of purple are great for any eye color and it's frosty/ lilac shades are perfect for a winter eye make up look.  You can even use this to create a purple smokey eye look.

These Physicians Formula Gel eye-liner for Hazel Eyes are just amazing!  I use my Tokidoki donut-girl eyeliner brush to apply this and it goes on very smoothly.  It comes in Brown, Black and Purple and the fun part is, it's actually stackable, so you won't lose them. (or if you do, you lose all three of them together LOL)

Please feel free to comment and ask me more questions about the products I mentioned!  And let me know if you would like me to do more of my favorites at the end of the month!
